...Where is the obvious place to start looking for a leak? I don't see any evidence of water on my dash, or inside the cab anywhere near there. Upper part of the windshield rubber?

Pretty bummed out about high tide in my brand new glovebox liner.

Sorry to hear. My 67 rotted out behind the glovebox on the bottom of the cowl might want to check there. I also had water dripping down the seem in that area. If u havent already, I would seem seel it next time you take the glovebox out.

mine did the same thing. I replaced the windshield and new rubber gasket-thought I was done-next rain it leaked again. Watched the water at the bottom of the windshield glass where it meets the rubber on the outside. The water actually pushes itself under the glass( between the glass and the rubber gasket). Had the installer reseal the glass with some sealer and that fixed the problem.

almost forgot-if you look real close at each corner of the dash on the bottom where the rubber meets in the corner-there are drain holes ( at least that's what it looks like to me)and it drains right into the mail box. Good luck

I feel ya..My truck gets water in the driver side by the rockers inside. i do not have a box in the glove departartment but i will make sure to look out for when I do get one. Now get to workin on the problem! So i know what to look for

Replacing my broken and cracked up windshield is getting higher up the list of things to do-I need to do it for sure before May when my inspection is due. I'll have to make sure and seal everything up good at that time.

Mine was leaking around the gasket and running down to the inside corner where the drain hole is, through the drain hole to the top of the glove box liner, around the glove box liner into the seam on the right side of the glove box liner and right inside. Now whenever I get a new glove box liner I run a bead of chalk along that seam. That way if I do get a leak it doesn't run into the glove box. You really can't seal it from the inside you have to take the liner out. That won't cure the leak but it will save your liner and keep your valuables from getting wet....

Yeah, this area is also prone to leaks. I had to clean up and reseal mine (rust encapsulator in pics, hadn't resealed it yet).

Just asking a question is them seems a stress point for the cab.

Can you get in there with a wire feed and fill in the seems Or will that create a ridged meaning it will crack from the flex in the cab

Or is it best to use Drip check instead

I found if I parked my truck nose down on a bit of a slope I dont get water in there (probably not the best fix lol). I also put all my paper work that I store in my glove box in a zip lock baggie.

This could be your problem. This is the exact leak i had on my 72 Cheyenne. It had a new windshieild installed with the original gasket but the installer left the stainless trim out. I don't know if that caused the leak but water came in as stated above every time it rained or i washed it. Joseph

Mine is doing this and it's from the lower windshield leaking. Since we have very cold temps lately so I'm waiting to reseal when it gets warmer.

For now to avoid another flood, I took my glove liner out and wrapped a plastic trash bag around it, then re-installed. Trim off the excess and no more "pooling". Any leaks now just run to my floor mat instead of making my insurance card do the back stroke. This is just a temp thing until the leaks is fixed.

I would check 2 things: first, the seam in the cowl, as has been mentioned. There is a seam that runs down the corner of the cab that is bad about rusting out. You have to get behind the glove box to see it, if it is rusted, then good place to start. Second: the radio antenna wire runs through above the glove box, if that grommet is gone could be leaking there. best of luck

Mine leaked a number of years ago into the glove box as well after I had the new windshield installed. The solution was to remove the windshield again and re install with some sealer. If I remember right that was like 14 years ago and its been fine since. I am not sure what type of sealer was used, the glass company took care of it.

And CG's glove box has rotted away long ago, but the paper work is good & still there, in zip lock bags.. Good fix mate.

Here is another posability, I had the same leak in mine. I could even see the water run down from the top of the gasket to the pillar and down through the drain hole. I put a brand new windshield gasket on and did not solve the problem! When I stipped my cab down I found a very small pinhole wear it had rusted through from up on top. It got under the seam sealer on the rain gutter and rusted from the inside, it was located under the gasket where you could not see the pinhole.

Mine was leaking through the rain gutter on top of the cab .I resealed it with seam sealer and no more leak.
