Seam Sealer Question
I am in the process of installing a new windshield & gasket on my 68 GMC, Going to let a local glass guy do the install and supply the glass & rubber so he can warranty it. He suggested that we reseal the roof drip area at the time he sets the window,"he has a 72 Blazer" how do you get rid of the old sealer to ensure no leaks down the road ? thanks

I dug mine out with a small hammer and screwdriver. It took some time to do. I don't know if it would soften up with a heat gun or not, I didn't try it. LockDoc

Re: Seam Sealer Question
I did pretty much the same I got 90% out and then used the sandblaster to get it nice and clean. I realize you won't be doing that so you may want to use a wire wheel on the grinder to finish after all the scraping and digging. It's amazing what you can find under all that sealer...
