Being a Cameo and having all of the spare parts, its well worth it! Those stainless steel strips that go down the top of the bed are $600 each!

I wish they would just sell the extra bed parts separate, and leave the next owner with patching the destroyed panels on the truck,
I wouldnt mind swapping my bed :-)

You can buy all of the pieces from various sources for around 5 grand! There is actually a company that sells a fiberglass conversion kit, (rear bumper is fb as well) for around $1400

East and Southeast Texas have very rusty trucks. Port Arthur is on the coast and it has very rusty trucks. Once you get to mid and west Texas they are fairly rust free

I have seen the fiberglass kits, they just seem a little incomplete, and the glass bumper does not excite me...

I found very nice rear stepside fenders and a GM OEM brand new tailgate for stepside for a very reasonable price, so I will probably just go with the stepside bed... but if I find a short fleet or cameo bed for sale locally for the right price, you know ill jump on it and store it for a rainy day...
