Re: replacment floors for a suburban?
The wooden floors in mine seem to be plywood from the factory

Re: replacment floors for a suburban?
I think he means the area behind the seats but in front of the wood part. This area is different than trucks.

Re: replacment floors for a suburban?
Yikes-I missed the word "between". Sorry to have been absolutely no help whatsoever.

Re: replacment floors for a suburban?
That is going to have to be fabricated from 18 ga. sheet metal.

Re: replacment floors for a suburban?
I was wondering the same thing, I need the passenger side floorpan. I see that it is squared off verticaly from the seat to the roker, not tapered like the trucks, apparently for the step to access the rear seats. Have not seen a replacement specific to them yet, as well as,not finding a replacement complete quarter panel. I assume you make quaters out of bedside panels?

Re: replacment floors for a suburban?
Are you talking about the inside trim piece, or the sliding window frame?

Re: replacment floors for a suburban?
As luck would have it, I finally found suitable quarter panel peices. Classic Truck Parts in Kansas City offers a front and rear half panel for the bedsides that is 23" tall and seams in the middle of the wheel opening. All I had found until today was the lowers 8-10" and the wheel arch-I didn't want that many pieces. As discussed earlier, they will appear to be the LWB style WO but that's ok for me.
BTW nice sheetmetal work Captainfab! |
