Here's one for a '65. I think '66 is the same.

Re: GVW Tags

I know an old thread but do you still have any of the 66 gvw plates for sale? And if not, would you mind passing along the info for the person that did it so i could get one done (if i need to get more than one done, then i could and offer the rest)

For the super purist, has anyone seen a template for the options sheet that is usually under the seat above the springs? Would LOVE to put one there when i get the seat re-upholstered.

Re: GVW Tags

And are those special rivets? Look like standard hollow pop rivets.

They are extra length Rivnuts. The inside is threaded and have to have a special tool to pull the threaded inner stem toward the flange.

Re: GVW Tags

Wow, all great info! Digging through RPO codes now, not a lot of luck. Want to re-create the glove box sticker in my 66 but having trouble figuring out what code and descriptions to put....had it been a 67 there's tons of info out there! Like on air conditioning, i see it's option A60 but on the sticker it would be C60AG - 4 season air cond? How do you know if you don't have a list or original to compare to?

Details details!

Re: GVW Tags

1966 was the first year GM used this option label. Try board member "Chipflyer" as he can set you up with an authentic looking option tag for just about any GM option.

I will look him up. I don't mind making the label from the template above, just have no idea what the codes are or how to find them!

Re: GVW Tags

cortcomp... i've got 2 left on the 66 gvw tags. you're welcome to one of them. they are not cut out or drilled and i haven't stamped them either. i had them screen printed on aluminum from the artwork that i did. i don't think they are perfect but good enough for me. if more folks want them i can get them reprinted...

also i have a photoshop layout on the 66 glovebox lid option sheet but like you i am not sure of all the codes either. it is a layered file that can be altered for any option differences. it is also not perfect as i retouched from a scan of a original in very good shape. since i do this kind of work professionally, i will say that both are pretty darn good.

pm me, if i can help
