72 gmc
a couple of weeks ago i traded for a 72 GMC lwb fleetside . i am working on it as time allows . i noticed a bolt through the doors in the area of the wing glass .i couldn' figure what someone was trying to do or what they could have gained .looking around on this forum i have noticed several 72's with the same thing . my question is what is this for and was it done to all 72's . thanks , kenny.

Re: 72 gmc
Information I got from a GM factory worker was this mod to the door on the 72's was to allow quicker assy of the door on the line. But don't know if that is really a true fact.

Re: 72 gmc
All 72 doors have that screw by the wing glass. It's there to help strengthen the door. 72 doors also have different internals because of the door panel change.
