What would be the disadvantage of this set up with stock rear arms ? Will it go lower with the tube arms? Sorry trying to keep cost down. On a 68 suburban would it be ok to weld the top and not use the bolts? I think I can get my welder in there. I checked out a 63 truck last weekend with porterbuilt suspension and I am quite impressed with the quality. Its nice to see a company that builds quality stuff .

We have a "Stage 2 Rear Basic" kit that uses this notch and our shock relocation system along with factory trailing arms. It will allow the axle to bottom out in the notch... just like the tube arms.

The welding of the upper notch could be an option.

I think I may have already bought part of that kit off craigslist. A guy had it on a 63 truck but upgraded his arms to your tube style.
