Today was a good day..... 1967 short bed fleet side.
Every once in a great while you come up on an opportunity to get a vehicle thats a barn find or the perfect deal , and you just have to scratch your head. Well i just purchased this 85% complete 1967 short bed fleet side. i just need to finish it and i'm on my way. The guy was working on his dream truck and one thing or another got in the way and life changed his plans. I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time... 4 wheel disc brakes , Vortec 5.7 , 700r, new tilt, new tack , brand new hugger orange paint . no expense was spared on this truck..... it's not far from completion . every thing on this truck is brand new..

this truck came with brand new oak bed / stainless strips, posi rear end all new power window and glass rear fuel cell , Boxes and boxes of new parts and a ton of old parts that i'll sell to recoup some of my investment. there is over $8500 in paint and body work alone. you don't even want to know what the total in receipt looks like. today was a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Re: Today was a good day..... 1967 short bed fleet side.
Me too. Now I have to look for some wheels. It's 4 wheel disc with a 6 lug. I'm thinking I might change over to 5lug. I'd like your opinion on wheels. Just for the record thinking 18" and 20"s. the grey center Torque Thrust. We shall see . I'm not opposed to some cool 6 lug styles either.

Re: Today was a good day..... 1967 short bed fleet side.
the thing about it is, it still needs to be finished and so there is a lot of room for me to personalize it. so buying a hugger orange truck with a solid foundation to work with is a no brainer in my book. i love the color , and the paint and body work are incredible. i've never owned a truck with such perfect gaps between parts. it's dead on. i was shocked to learn that the complete bed, doors , fenders are GoodMark , i have heard so many different things about those parts. I'll tell you what they make great parts....

Re: Today was a good day..... 1967 short bed fleet side.
Since you saved so much on this truck,I have a set of rallyes I'll sell you for $4,000,ok?
You know I dig old school. I kinda like the idea of staying 6-lug ,especially on a '67...that already has 4 wheel discs!!! Torque Thrusts or slots are offered in larger diameter 6-lug. There's a member here with a sweet green '67 GMC Fenderside with the 6-lug Torque Thrusts (or copies) on it. I don't want to mention any names, but his initials are Tim Christian...oops

Kidding aside, you have a great platform and have hit a home run to center field!!!!!!! Congrats on your find and X'2 that you should by a lottery ticket.
