Funny story!

Ok, last night I'm up watching TV around midnight. I'm a night owl! Any way, I notice a bunch of bright lights around my '70 which is parked in front. I looked out the window and could see it was a couple local LEO's cars with the search lights going all over my truck. I'm thinking, OMG some one must have hit or vandalized my baby. So, I open up the front door as one is leaving and the other is just getting back in his car. He sees me, gets back out and yells out "Everythings ok! We were just checking out your truck! He was patroling the neighborhood and called in his buddy to check it out. I stepped out and chatted with him for a bit. He said this was his beat and the he would keep an a eye on her for me.

It's even cooler when "the man" acts like just a man....if you get my drift.

I know, I don't like it either. but until I sell the Harley my garage is full. Already have two vehicles in the back drive.

Under the cover is my ZR1. You see my problem. I'm letting the Harley go as soon as I find a buyer.

You have a ZR1 and only a 2 car garage?

That's cool.

MikeyMan, I couldn't agree more!!

eurospec1, he's got a NICE truck and leaving it outside in front of anyones house in "anywhere" USA is just not a good idea. I don't care where you live......well, unless it's a gated retirement community. When kids, young adults and even mature adults see this Parked out front their natural reaction is to say "Nice truck" and they're going walk up on it. What happens after that is open to all kinds of speculation, but we all know some of these people will have the wrong intentions.
Listen, I understand that he doesn't have room, but a truck this nice left outside is a injustice as far as I'm concerned. I just hate to see it left outside and in the weather.

tdp67: I just hope you can sell the HD in a timely manner and get your VERY nice truck secured and Dry.

Really nice truck!! they're right though.Don't park it in the street. The "better" thieves pick the nicer, safer neighborhoods because they know what they stael will be nicer and fewer people expect them to be there.

So true! You could probly park your truck outside of a trailer park and there would be less of a chance of it being tampered with than in a good neighborhood. My trucks not as nice as yours and it sits in the garage when i'm not driving it or working on it. By the way...cops are normal guys to, some of them like old trucks just like we do, at least the ones around here do! Joseph

Re: Funny story!

Open a spot in the garage. That Harley can go in the spare bedroom if need be. Just sayin.
A coworker has 2 HDs and he parks both of them in his house. He doesn't have a garage.

Re: Funny story!

It is nice having good neighbors and being friends with the cops, I had to park my 85 outside and then I sold it to build a garage. But now I can sleep at nite knowing my 70 is parked inside.
