That looks good. I'm doing a white gauge conversion in my 67. What type of material are you going to use? Will this be similar material and install to the overlays that whitegauges.net sells?

Re: voltmeter overlay

Are you saying $50 and $55 for the overlay and the gauge, or just the overlay?

For the overlay and the gauge. The gauge faceplate is just a stock face off of another gauge. The voltmeter gauges are roughly 20 bucks. Honestly I'm not making any money whatsoever and thats not a problem.

Re: voltmeter overlay

Are you taking orders for these? If you haven't had one made yet, you can't take orders.

Re: voltmeter overlay

I'd be interested once an actual one is pictured. Can you make them black with a slight greenish/white lettering to match the other gauges?

Also, FWIW, voltmeters out of '73-87 Chevy trucks are about a direct swap, you have ti drill out the 2 little rivits that hold the face on and drill one other mounting hole in the tin part it mounts to, but that's about it.

Re: voltmeter overlay

I would also be interested in a stock colored one. I'm converting my truck to a 1 wire alternator, and the Ampmeter will not work with it.

Re: voltmeter overlay

the stock colored one would be 25 shipped for 1. the white would be 20 shipped for 1. i have a few gauges that can be used for donors also if interested. add 6 bucks if you want one. they will have to be cleaned up before applying vinyl.
right now i only have 3 white overlay, and 2 black/green overlays. if anyone would like to chime in on a group buy, i will get more and it would be a few bucks cheaper the more i get made.

So are you going to be having more made, and if so, would there be any discount for more than one?

Basically all you have to do is un hook the ammeter wires on the pcb, and run a key on ignition power wire to the + side of the voltmeter, it's grounded through the tin it's mounted in.
