WTB - Antenna setup
Hey guys, I'm looking for an antenna setup for my 69.
I swapped out my smoothed (read: slathered in 1/8" of bondo) cowl, and now I'm staring at a hole where the antenna should be. Not looking for show quality, just something presentable that works. If you have a candidate for me, post a pic, and a price shipped to 28117. Thanks, Fred |

Thanks for the offer, I'd like a stock style if possible.

Re: WTB - Antenna setup
The spring style was an option, and is a stock style, too. I think what you are seeking is a telescopic antenna. Good luck with your search.

Yep, the telescopic is what I am after. Its the only type I remember seeing on the trucks around here.

Re: WTB - Antenna setup
Fred,
I bought one of these for my C20 and was very surprised how nice the quality is for a reproduction. Fits perfect, works perfect and looks great....Looks and fits like OEM...a bit pricey but was the only one I found.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/67-72-Chevy-...item48438ce954

Re: WTB - Antenna setup
That ad is for the AM antenna. They are hollow and break off very easy and the chrome rusts. You want the FM antenna that has a solid stainless shaft. If you don't find one you can PM me & I can send you one...about the same price, though.

Re: WTB - Antenna setup
Well, it seems to be holding up good for me so far and the truck is parked outside. I was not aware there was a difference...AM vs FM...if it breaks, I'll order one from you Frank. Thanks for the info...sorry for the hijack...
