Barden Bumpers. Or Bundy bumpers as we called them.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
That does look like the Fremont plant. I live about 10 miles from it.
Yep, they used to install Barden bumpers on Chevy trucks. If you scroll up to the picture of my truck (above) you'll see a Barden bumper on it. Did dealers install Barden bumpers all over the US or was it a regional thing here in California? Unfortunately, my Barden bumper is starting to rust and fall apart. I will probably be replacing it with a chrome bumper on mine in the near future. The chrome bumpers look a lot better than the Barden bumper, but it still makes me sad to get rid of mine. When I was working on a local ranch back in the early 70's I used to break old fence posts out of the ground with it. Just put the truck in reverse, get a little head of steam, and SNAP. (Don't try this at home!) Those Barden bumpers were about indestructable! I baby my truck now. We are both old and a bit beat up but we are still willin'. |

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Part II
Hey Jayman, I'm not crazy about the wheels. I have a set of steelies and dog dish caps that I haven't put on yet. I need to get them sand blasted. The marker lights were just dummies ( not wired ) so I was goofing around and made some diamond plate covers. I kinda like em. Haven't seen anyone else with them..LOL

Nice truck, I really like your wheels. Can you send me the info on your wheels. I have just installed disc brakes and gone from 6 stud to 5, I am not sure what to order for size and offset. Yours look perfect they really fit the truck. |
