how many miles do you have?

I was curious how many out there are basically living in their truck. I just rolled 177000 on my 08 Extended cab Z71. 2 sets of tires, 3 sets of front brakes, one set of rear brakes ( originals only lasted 170K), one battery, and a set of plugs and wires at 100k. Transmission, transfer case and axles were all serviced at 100k as well. Ive had no complaints with this truck. Ive run synthetic in it since 26000 miles, change it every 10k or less, and it may use 1/2 quart between changes.

Holy smokes, I'm at 70K with at least half on company business in my '08 and wish it was less. Glad to hear you haven't had any major issues. Do you drive alot for work?

Im self employed and this is my work truck. I repair electronic engine controls and generators on drilling rigs and they are scattered all over West Texas. 300-400 miles a day isnt unusual. I bought it in August of 08 with 347 miles on it. It has been a great truck. I did have the ball joints replaced at 150,000 miles. They werent real bad, but alot of my driving is rough lease roads so I keep on top of maintenance so I dont break down in the middle of no where. It gets aligned every time I buy a set of tires which is 50k-60k miles. I keep an extra fan belt and idler pulleys just in case. The originals are still on there and just turned 178,000 today. I was just curious how many out there are racking up the miles. im planning on running for a long time.

im at 26,000. got mine brand new dec. 24 2010. A deer jumped into the door at 310 miles. stock tires were worn out at 22,000, It got an alignment at the same time, and the battery went out back in january. I run mobil 1 full synthetic and havent had any problems with my truck at all.



My mods are, 265/70 Hercules trail digger 10 plys, Rough country leveling kit, muffler delete with 5 inch tips, rhino liner, 5% tint, Pioneer in-dash screen, and all of the chimes, buzzers, etc deleted. I hated those things

184000 today. Its time for another set of tires. I have a tire pressure sensor that needs to be replaced now, but thats a minor issue. You guys have some good looking trucks.

2005 1500HD with 97K on it right now. Dealer replaced the intermediate steering shaft under warranty, serviced front/rear diff, transfer case and trans at 70K. Otherwise, I have done nothing to it and it still looks and drives like new.
No pics though.....

2008 Chevrolet Silverado w/ 27,2XX miles on it.

Had to have the 4x selector replaced (under warranty) and the battery replaced (under warranty).

The last oil change was done on July 21, 2011, and is changed every 3,000 miles. I haven't even hit the 3,000 miles yet. This thing just doesn't get driven as much any more.

My dad's '08 Suburban had 83,xxx on it last time I was in it. Only problem he's had with it is the dealership disabling his heated windshield washer fluid and back window washer fluid under recall rather than fixing it. It's had one set of tires and a lot of put off oil changes and still runs like a champ.

Recently passed 200k. Still going strong. Im going to change the original serpentine belt first chance I get. Its not looking bad but I have had a new one behind the seat since it had about 30k. I have really been impressed with the reliability but not shocked...after all, it is a Chevy.

85000 miles (140,000kms). 2010 2500HD cclb. No major issues. Just did upper ball joint on th the pass side and the switch on the brake pedal

Just completed my second, 100,000 mile tune up. Plugs and wires looked good.Over 236000 miles so far. . I also changed the serpentine belt and idler pulleys just in case. Had to change front wheel bearings about 10,000 miles ago, but I can't complain about that. This has been an awesome and very reliable truck.

After 7 months its now at 15,000kms, driving it home from Saskachewan racked up about 3000km alone.

I just turned 60,000 miles on the 2011, yesterday. Loved every minute of it.
