Re: Forever project "The Beast"
The plan is probably a satin yellow for a few years and then eventually Butternut yellow.

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
Thought I would throw up a few pics of my other winter project. Originally I built this one to haul the kids around but decided to go with a fullsize crewcab instead. I will be selling it in the spring. It just needs a few minor touchups.

I have a very similar situation to you ... 34, getting married, kid on the way, and wanna finish mine by spring/summer too! would be great to check out your ride, keeps guys like us motivated when we have so much going on. Lucky I'm a farmer now, so I can hammer down on my truck everyday all day for the next two months! oh yea, and if you are missing a few odds and ends, I have a ton of extra parts (many new) let me know and I could come by with a gift basket!

Got a little more work done tonight. Pulled the body back off. Gotta love the lift, well worth the money.

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
I did notice something new today though. Because I have chosen to run a 24" wheel with a total height of approx 30.5". My truck does not layout completely. It touches at the front of the frame near the step up but slowly climbs towards the back. I'm ok with it though, I pland on installing some bumpstops at the front to make it level when laid out. This will make the pinch approx .5" from the ground. What do you guys think?

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
That looks awesome man! you'll never notice the change in frame height, especially with the pinch 1/2" off the ground....looks great.

Re: Forever project "The Beast"
When you get the entire assembled weight of the truck on the frame, I won't be surprised if you're all the way on the ground.
