Buy Moog steering parts man. THey are better than any other street parts. Last thing you need is for a balljoint to come apart at 70mph. Been there done that with a S-series Jimmy with stock joints. Just about barrel rolled which is not cool. Moogs R&D cannot be beat. They constantly upgrade parts until they outlast the rest of the vehicle. The origional 67-72 balljoints have no protection to keep the balljoint from seperating once they wear out. I do not know if those ones have that but I do know that moog does.

Moog upper and lowers cost me $132 all.That was for my 4x4 blazer.

On the Moog lower ball joints they have 2 numbers one being enhanced..whats enhanced?

I believe enhanced means that they have the neat features that keep the balljoint from seperating.

Don't scrimp man! And if i may give you a little hint, shop with EARLY CLASSIC ENTERPRISES!!!!!! they are the best!

Go with MOOG. They have bronze bushings too. They make Treadsaver which we sell at work, which arent too bad....they have plastic bushings in them, but I would go with MOOG for sure. I always do.

I just installed a frontend rebuild kit on my 70' C10 from ECE and the parts are top notch. Like everyone says, don't cut corners with ball joints or brake parts. It would suck to damage your truck with cheap parts and knowing it could of been avoided for a few extra bucks.

I know everybody here prefers Moog ball joints but what about Perfect Circle or TRW?

I think TRW and Moog are both made by Federal Mogul.

I can get both Perfect Circle and TRW locally and they are cheaper than Moog.

I would not be afraid of them.I would stay away from the cheap ones.

What brand is ECE? I for one will not put anything but MOOG under a customers or my trucks just to save a few bucks. It might cost you more money for quality parts now but 10 years down the road it will still handling like new.

I only use moog. Right now their parts just plain kick ass over any other replacement parts. So long as you keep them greased they very rarely wear out. I used to work on postal vans and they would wipe out stock steering joints in 10,000km or earlier. Stuck some moog parts in and 30,000KM later most of them are still tight. Impressed me.
