It's a tilt column from the factory. They didn't make many of these.

Factory floor shift tilt columns are very scarce items for sure. This is a geniune GM/Saginaw piece.

A real floor shift column will always have a knock out for the neutral saftey, along with screw holes, because the mast jackets were produced on the same production line as the automatics. The inner shift tube will not have the lower shift arm/collar spot welded on the tube, or a tab/riser for the neutral safety switch. Lastly, some of the t/s switches had the red hazard knob and some had the black. I think this depends on the year, not sure though.

Van columns that have been converted to a floor shift tilt, will not have the the above mentioned details.

Yes they are.. Typical truck wiring harnesses I believe minus the light and plug for shift indicator bulb!

It's cool. I'm learning some stuff I didn't know about the column. If you don't mind, help me spread the word about the column for sale. Would like to move it. Thanks.

Re: Rare Factory 4sp Steering Column with Tilt

Hi Walt. If I had known I would've shipped it with the bumper brackets . $600 for the tilt column. Will have to get you a shipping price. What's your zip again?

Sorry, I really have been spending a lot on truck lately and that would put me over the top. Thanks for the offer. Brackets are coming out great.
