Need help on van tilt
Purchased a early 70 model van tilt with not slot for a neutral safety switch think they were on transmission. Is there any way to put on column? Seen threads where people moved them, but haven't seen one where they didn't have one to begin with.

Re: Need help on van tilt
It could be done fairly easily. Just cut a slot on the outter column the same size and location as the original where the switch mounts, then inside that slot attach a tang to the inner shift lever tube to activate the switch.

Re: Need help on van tilt
Thanks for the info, the tilt column measures 5(1/2) inches from top slot to base of tilt and my original is 9 inches so wont have to shorten that part.
