Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
After a couple of MONTHS (Doh!) of not having touched it, I finished painting the lower dash today. This is just rattle can stuff so it'll be tolerable while I do the mechanical stuff I want to get done. Rustoleum Sage Green is the darker color. Krylon Celery Green is the lighter color. Apologies for the crappy cell phone pictures.
I'm trying to get it running again and needed to put the instrument cluster back in so I can drive it tomorrow night to a family gathering. I may not make it, but I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Oh, and I did a quicky "Refurbish" on the spare. The tire is kinda checked and definitely old. Sprayed Sage Green and Clear on it. |

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
Mate has remounted the Jag rear an inch higher to lower the rear, and I bought a set of blockhuggers for the SBC swap that will commence in a bit over a weeks time.
Truck has Jag front end too, and calipers are off being repaired, and the guages are out and getting made workable too. And I did some work on my T Coupes electrics today so I can make it street legal again (We have a warrant of fitness regime here) as I have a buyer who wants it, but wants me to have it all legal. The truck is still drivable but some extra cash from the Coupe sale will get the project accelerating along. We will use it next weekend to get to a friends daughters wedding in the North Island, and then the engine swap can start. Im hoping that it may be all done by early April, then I can bring it home (a 600 mile drive). Am looking forward to it, big time |

Front trim on, still waiting for windows, warmer weather for the rubber will help.

Are my eyes deceiving me or are those pictures of a five lug spare and another picture of a six lug wheel? I'd hate to get a flat if so. -Doug

So how amny leafs did that leave you with up front and in the back, and which ones did you remove? I have no idea how many the 3100's came with originally.

Nothing. I made this pile working on Ms. Joan's greenhouse, the current domestic priority. Then I did this because it was still warm and sunny.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
Went to the wrecker yesterday and picked up a mint set of 05 Silverado seats, put them in today and they look great. Once I shave the headrest off they will match up with the rear window height.

Re: What Did You Do With Your Truck Today ?
What a month it has been, My 1948 GMC Panel Delivery was pulled out of the backyard and the floor was gone.Front to back. I assembled parts from LMC, Jim Carters and Brothers to get the pieces. assembly was tricky because I had no measurement to go by. My fear was the doors would give me fits. Well.... All is assembled, welded, plasma arced, filled. grinding smoothed out, mar glass applied, brushed seam sealer and two coats of grey primer. We have a happy truck.
