Longbed GMC Sierra Grande prospect

Seen this about a week ago, took a closer look, dont know if the guy wants to let it go but he owns what I consider a honest chop shop, he buys up stuff and parts it out and I really want to try to trade a pile of parts for this, that pile including an LT1, 4L60E, a powerglide, some body parts, radiators, condensors and scrap and yes I brought pics. So tell me what you guys think, can I work some kind of deal with this guy?
I realize this post may be shut down soon, if so please let me know how I become a supporting member, prices and how I pay cuz I want to be a supporting member

Re: Longbed GMC Sierra Grande prospect

Is this the one on 153 ? I think I might know this truck, and the owner .. and some history on it too if it's the same truck.

Re: Longbed GMC Sierra Grande prospect

If you're in Hixson, ride up the hill on the N end of 153 like you're heading to Hwy27. On the left before Academy Sports, there's a little tool rental place there.

He has a truck amlost exactly like this one. It is really a nice LWB if that's what you're looking for. Good cab, and front clip, air cab .. same color combo. There was an older man that lived right across 153 in that little white house. He bought the truck new. The guy at the rental place always wanted it and told the old guy if he ever got ready to sell it, to let him know. Months / years went by .. and a wreath appeared on the door.

The guy at the rental place (Jeff I think his name is?) .. knocked on the door and his wife answered. He had passed .. and left the truck to Jeff.

It is sitting out front. the truck is really really good, all but the bed. Just overall 'old guy' dents along the edges of the long bed .. but if you can deal with that, I'd bet you could grab this old truck for $2000 or so. I was tempted to buy it to be honest. You owe it to yourself to at least check that one out. If you're looking SWB ? That one would be perfect for a cab swap. Not a lot of rust in it at all. .. go check it out.

Re: Longbed GMC Sierra Grande prospect

Sadly thats out of my price range, id still love to look at it and take pics but being a young guy saving money for rent utilities and deposits so that I can move in together with my fiance theres very little money to put into my truck, I depend on trading (which honestly hasnt worked yet) or barter which also hasnt worked
