power window regulators

Anyone know if you can just replace a 73-87 or (73-80) manual crank with a power window motor assy....are there different gear ratios between the manual and power?

You won't be replacing any 73-76 power motors, there is no such animal, and these doors didn't have provisions for power.

If it is a 77-80, yes you can swap them (minus different wirng plugs)

Ok, you got me there...I just picked up a 78 Big10....
I have a lead on a manufacturer on a bunch of power regulators...

So. In your opinion/experience I can remove the rivets holding the manual gearing/rod to the regulator and replace with power?

Just making sure before I cut it up.

No, I am assuming you are replacing the whole manual setup with a power one. The manual gear mounts on the exterior of the door, the power mounts to the interior. They are 2 different setups.
