Does anyone have any pictures of how these hook up to the tail Light buckets? I cant seem to figure it out.

I have a 55, 2nd series.
3200 Long Bed.
I just put on some new Tail lights.
I picked up the flexible metal conduit to run the wires thru but I cant figure out how that attach to the tail light bucket.

The ones that Speedway sells have what appear to be nuts on each end to hold them in place. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Braide...duit,3038.html

If the conduit is straight with no way to fasten it in place I would imagine that it is made so that it can be pushed through a grommet on each end to hold it in place. That may or may not hold it perfectly in place though.

To hold it in place through the grouments go to a auto glass store and pick up a tube of there windshield RTV and place this on each end to KEEP it there!
When that RTV hardens it will be there as long as the conduit.
I have found this RTV to be good "fix" for many things that you want to stay in place for a long time !!
Be careful where you put it !!!!

I made my own out of SS tubing. I just flared the one end of the tubing and used a grommet to hold it in place. I wanted a very clean look with minimal cost.

I also drilled through the bedside and used a thick finishing washer (which I used silicone to hold it in place) to complete the look.

That is one slick looking setup Youngrodder. Thanks for sharing the photo. The button head machine screws and bullet caps really finish it off too.

That is a sweet set up.
So the answer to my original question,
I need to fogure it out by taking the tail light appart and make sure I seal it up properly with a good quality sealant.
And I cant forget to us grommets so the metal to metal contact is eliminated.
Looks like I got another weekend project ahaead of me.
