NOS gurus

We need your help on a couple of items. Looking for nos interior dome light housing (we have the lens). Also need the center vent for the AC. Both of these items are chrome plated plastic. Would also take the metal vent that snaps into plastic center vent. Probably a few items we have not thought of but will post later.
Any help or leads will be appreciated Paul and Jason

Re: NOS gurus

The snap in vents are on ebay a good bit. Just saw one end the other day for around $40.00. The chrome plated plastic piece that you are referring to has two studs on it correct. If it is the one piece that I am thinking of that the vent snaps into, I do not recall seeing many if any NOS ones out there. Part #'s and we will search.

Re: NOS gurus

I have two or three of the NOS chrome center A/C vents Pn. 3891275 in the GM boxes yet, not cheap but available. The last one I seen on the bay went for $160.-$170., was thinking that it sold to DeadheadNM? Mel

Re: NOS gurus

ttt for you Paul & Jason. It sure is amazing how the price of NOS parts for our trucks is rising. I am glad I started collecting when I did. But it is sure a good thing that people like Mel are around that collect for resell purposes.

Resell purposes??? Just because I dont have a fancy build thread going, it doesn't mean that I do not currently have anything going on or any future planned-back burner projects. I have been into these trucks a good solid twenty years now and first and foremost I buy NOS to collect, not resell. I have never actively pushed or tried hard to get rid of any of my NOS stuff, it only gets offered up if and when someone asks for an NOS piece that I have no plans for or may have to many duplicates of. Besides if I was just buying to resell, I would be loosing my a$$ a good amount of the time due to some of the high prices I have to pay to acquire the rare discontinued stuff these days.

Well see's how I bid $150 sumthin on the last (above mentioned) one that I bid on and LOST, it would take atleast $125. to cut loose of one outright. Mel

You know, I actually missed the part. It seems anytime that I try to use that smiley it always backfires or goes unseen too, then making me come off like some sort of jerk. Anyhow no hard feelings here was just making a correction, make mine an MGD and lets be buds .

Thanks, Sharpie! I may be NOS nutty, but I consider my knowledge to still be growing. To echo Mel, you add much depth to our board with your knowldge as well.

Re: NOS gurus

Hey Mel, Jason and I do not promote our stuff very much even though we have a 3000 sq ft shop stacked to the ceiling and 25 or so trucks in our bull pen. Anyway we had some 67 small bumper guards that Harold needed so we traded with him.
Your help and input is always appreciated. Thank you again Paul
