E-Brake Question ??
ok guys i am trying to figure out how to connect the e-brake cable to the foot pedal on my '72 chevy 2wd truck? i have the cable coming through the firewall & i have the cable bolted to the side of the bracket (near the firewall) but i am not able to figure out how to connect it to the actual foot pedal assy. it appears to be about an inch too short! i know it is not but i can not remember how it "stretches" to then get the cable cotter pined onto the assy??
can any of you very wise guys give me a hint or two on how to connect it to the pedal arm??? thanks!!! rodstored-72 |

Re: E-Brake Question ??
How much did you tighten the nut on the equalizer cable? Connect the foot pedal first then the equalizer, if you did that part already. I just finished putting mine back in the Blazer.

Re: E-Brake Question ??
If you climb under the truck you have a small rod hook thing on both sides that acts as a guide for the cable. I popped the drivers side off to give it some slack. Than I reconnected the cable to the lever assy and when all was done it was pretty easy to get that rod hook clip thingy back into the hole in the frame. All is well.
