my retractable- 2 seater
Been promising a video for 2 -3 years now, finally got it done.
Kind of thinking of building the next version- it will be a 2 seater as well. |

Re: my retractable- 2 seater
Again, this was supposed to be a ragtop until I found it easier to build it with steel. The idea was to get it close, and then go for a much better version.
Have had some great ideas lately for a drive unit, and have had 5 years to think it over. |

I dig it! Marlboro reds are a nice touch too
And I know there's at least a 6 pack sitting somewhere in the vicinity! |

Re: my retractable- 2 seater
Today I was thinking of doing this to a suburban body of mine, on a 1 ton truck chassis! Use the lid from a true 1 ton truck cab with the raised clearance light pedestals. Fifth wheel hitch would clear, top mechanism could be rearanged to allow for almost the same storage area as a regular truck would give, when it was up.Have found a lot of interesting things I could do to improve the design over the past 5 years. I have all the important pieces to do it, except for the lid itself.
