1969- 1972 Speed Warning Dash Cluster

I just bought this 1969-1972 dash cluster at an auction and really do not know much about it or what to look for. Here is the information I know and please let me know what I need to check or do. The bezel is not great but I have not found any cracks yet. The speed warning knob is broken but if you move the cable the needle moves. The temp. gauge needle is missing (not visable). The speed warning cable pulls right out of the back of the cluster but when reinstalled the needle moves. The part zip tied on , I assume is the buzzer and the 2 wires on it but does it need more? When the cluster is tilted there is something loose on the speedometer end, might be the temp. gauge needle.

I would like to know what this is worth and is there anything I should check before selling that would help the value or keep the buy from regretting buying this part because I did not tell them something? Thanks for any help.

so...how much was it worth? I have one that is fully operational and in good shape that I'm wanting to sell, but don't know what to ask for it.

Re: 1969- 1972 Speed Warning Dash Cluster

I was told one with a new bezel and no issues was valued at least at $250. Mine was valued at the $150-$200 range depending on the speedometer issue. The cluster was untested and the speedometer needle was not at zero at rest. I found out the speedometer was the same for all clusters so if it was bad it could be replaced or the cluster could be used for parts to fix another one. I sold mine for $150.00 because of its issues. Hope this helps

Re: 1969- 1972 Speed Warning Dash Cluster

hey yall, we bought this dash cluster for my brothers truck, but he ended up going a different path, everything works as far as i know, i was wondering how much it would be worth? the bezel isnt in that good of shape but there are no cracks that i can see, so if anyone could tell me how much its worth that would be much appreciated!Name: 58C4065E-3A89-4724-9F67-62763FF5F69C.jpg

That looks like a standard cluster. Is there anything special with it? Vacuum gauge? 80psi oil gauge? ect. If it is just a stock standard cluster with a good circuit board I have been lucky to get $25.00 out of them. Shipping ussually kils the deal when not selling locally. That is my opinion. The one I have in this thread is worth more because it is a speed warning cluster.

I agree with above. Standard clusters are not worth to much, but you can squeeze some money out of them if they are in nice shape. It looks like most of the gauges on that one are rusty as well as the rear tin.
