Do you have the casting # from the back, drivers side top where the tranny bolts up?

1970 350 4bbl, C10-C30; 255hp
1970 350 4bbl, K10-K20; 255hp
1979 350 4bbl, C10-C20; 165hp

Basically, a 350 truck motor. Proably a 4bolt with a steel crank too...maybe even a 010-020 block

my truck is a 71 though, so would it be the 1970 c-10 to c-30 255 hp motor?

That is what nastyz28.com says according to the suffix code. It could be any 3 of those motors, but they are all basically the same thing besides the '79 motor would be more smogged out (crappy heads, low compression). To pinpoint the motor, you need the casting # that Randy mentioned.

There should be very little difference between a '70 and a '71 motor. Both should be around ~250 hp. Your truck may not have the original engine in it, being that it is 32 years old, it could have been swapped out any time.
