Re: cool boat and tow rigs out there ? post'm up

that is bradman72's boat he is a member here i dont remember the specs on it so i am not even gonna guess but i am sure he will post up something here about it, i have rode in the boat several times however never on the water. lol that is his truck too it has a newer ls motor i think a 5.3 rides great but he hasnt figured out how to dodge light poles in parking lot (inside joke).

Re: cool boat and tow rigs out there ? post'm up

Here's a link to mine. The boat looks similar to Toby Tuttle's. Unfortunately, the boat has a Ford in it. I tell everyone that I tow a ford everywhere....

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Here is mine the truck was built just to tow the boat. FI 383,T400,208 Transfer case,Gear Vendors OD. 14 bolt corp rear end,410 gears. All one ton drive shafts. Boat has a surpercharged 383 and will hit 70 MPH pretty easily.

Re: cool boat and tow rigs out there ? post'm up

Great idea for a thread! I bet the folks over on the 73-87 board would appreciate that first one. I have a vivid memory of being at Horseshoe Lake above Ft.Collins,CO watching a '72 or so K/20 with sweet jet boat in tow descending the grade, making the bend, and coming around up the other side and thinking "How cool is that?"
Fellow member brad man_72 has or had (doubt he sold it) a sweet Stevens he pulls with his SWB

Not a metalflake paint jet boat but it's got a 496 chevy (volvo penta) with open exhaust (captain's call). P.S. 67mph GPS confirmed.

Thanks. I had it side by side to a Tahiti and couldn't see much difference. The boat is a Sundance made in Redding, Ca. I think they were taking Tahiti hulls and outfitting them with Hardin Marine motor, gauges & accessories. It is all original paint, 400 orig hours, and new diamond upholstery. Slow though as it only goes 58 on GPS.
