i believe its some type of load brake assist valve for the k30...but heard they never work or work properly. would like to remove it if i dont need it.

That is Chevy's 1st attempt at anti lock brakes , Yes you can bypass it . Remove it and the brackets if you live in a state that inspects

lmao thats funny. Ok i will then. Also one last question for yall. I notice all these spring bumpers located on the frame. Are they REALLY needed as well? I mean who puts that kind of flex on the frame and springs other than rock crawlers? Even if I max weight a load of brick or something it doesnt even come close to needing them. Reason I ask is because Im a big guy. And reaching in towards the engine or something under the truck they kind of stick in the way....

I removed all my factory bump stops and that brake valve. The truck will never come close to hitting them. Once I removed the valve there was a noticeable improvement in the brakes.
