Re: key locked in on position

Do you have an auto column? i have an auto column and i swapped in a manual transmission while still having the auto column, you have to make sure it stays in park, try wiggling the column around, i had that happen to me once.

Re: key locked in on position

you can first go under the column and pop out the linkage to the ignition switch and make sure the truck is totally off then disassemble to replace the switch if its the switch thats bad..

Re: key locked in on position

I would first, lift up on the gear selector lever, and try to move the key.It may have simply slipped out of adjustment.
