Title says it all. I want to know where you ordered and pro's/con's of the mouldings.

I have a 20% coupon for Classic Industries Mouldings 370.99 Fasteners 80.99 -20% =361.58 (Made ??) 2. Mar-K American Made, no coupon Mouldings/fasteners=411.50 3. Truckandcarshop.com Mouldings/fasteners=319.00 (Made??)

IMHO...from what I've read in your posts, you have bought quite a few of your parts from Mar-k and had good luck with them. They're made in America, you have "Not" cut any corners in your build, so whats a few extra bucks for the most eye catching trim on your truck, and more than likely the highest quality part available.

just an opinion , because I have no facts, but I would order mar-k... I have slowly been learning that cheaper isn't always the best route....

Re: I need trim for the sides, where did you get yours and are you happy
I agree to buy American and i did just that tonight. Even tho there is a $100 spread from the cheapest to the Mar-K. Too bad their coupon kicks in at $500, the mouldings don't cost that much. Thanks for the input. I'll post up pics when I get the parts.

I bought the Mark k set and they look good, and they were on sale for 379 I think. I will however leave them in the tube until probably next year.

Alan, will you show pics of the taping, painting and hole drilling for your stripes?

Re: I need trim for the sides, where did you get yours and are you happy
Dang it, I wish I need more stuff from them so I could take advantage of that discount code. Currently, I just need the tailgate hinges.
I was talking to a guy at the CPP show that bought from a different company. You could easily tell the side trim that was original and what was purchased from the vendor that sold non-american parts. Honestly, they weren't even close. I think you'll be more than happy that you went that route.

Re: I need trim for the sides, where did you get yours and are you happy
I bought mine two years ago. I was just checking the price for someone on the board and they were $379 but when I tried to leave the site they offered them to me at $336 so I jumped on that offer. Mine are still in the tube too.

Re: I need trim for the sides, where did you get yours and are you happy
Mar K is a forum vendor... they might have given you a discount or something.
With yer epic build thread, maybe they will. It never hurts to ask. I've read and been told very good things about Mar-K quality and customer service by lots of folks who have actually used their parts. Even when there was an issue, it was handled very well. They take good care of their customers from all I have read and been told. -W Last edited by Woogeroo; 03-26-2012 at 03:16 AM. |

Re: I need trim for the sides, where did you get yours and are you happy
i just acquired some bed trim in a big lot of parts i found local. i figure i'll end up buying a complete kit tho since i want it all to match. IMHO these trucks need this trim to look finished.

Re: I need trim for the sides, where did you get yours and are you happy
I got my trim and started installing tonight. I need ya'lls opinion, what are your thoughts of the finish and is it supposed to be like that. I just emailed Mar-K so I hope to hear from them tomorrow. I would assume the finish should be uniform, bright and shiny. All the wide mouldings are dull.

That doesn't look right to me. I'll look forward to their response. Everything I've read says they're top notch.

Their customer service is awesome.
Just got off the Phone with them and they told me to tell them exactly what pieces I need replaced and they will hand pick some and send them out with a call tag for the return. Posted via Mobile Device

Now that's how a good company deals with issue's, I run a small business that depends on referrals that's why we take care of our customers problems immediately. Cheaper prices usually don't mean quality products and sevices
