Old school tire question
Getting ready for the final touches on my 1972 Blazer.
Going for a total stock off the showroom floor look with steel wheels and poverty caps and period correct tires. Per the SPID, L78 15 tires were supplied. I have one Uniroyal Snowplow M&S tire as a spare, came with the truck and looks like it has never been on the ground. Can't seem to locate these tires(or reproductions) anywhere, Checked online, Coker, Etc. Any suggestions for a old school looking L78 15 tire appreciated. Post photos if possible. Thanks, Tbruz |

Re: Old school tire question
Have not even seen that number in years they would be a belted tire not many around may try a trailer tire. The L78 was the biggest i saw put on 69-72 blazers. People did start putting 1100-15 on them with stock lift. Lifited saw some with 1200-16.5 on them but not from factry.

Re: Old school tire question
They came with polyglass tires. Doubt if you can even get them anymore. Steel belts were a big improvement over them anyway.
