New Project 1984 GMC

Well, finally found a good deal on a pickup.
Picked up a 1984 GMC Sierra Grande. it was a frame off restoration that just never got finished, so the plan is to do the rest. the chassis has been completely redone, new front end new brake/brake lines/ fuel lines, 2 new fuel tanks, new fuel sending units. however the body is pretty straight it has a couple rust spots on the cab corners (easy fix though). the interior is in great shape all original, the guy said all the electronics work, however some of the wires under the hood are fried and frayed so ill be doing some replacing there.

now on to what i have done and plan to do.
I already put a 2/4 lowering kit on it
installed the engine and tranny today.
bought the motor off of a friend, its had some head work already done to it, bought some ceramic coated headers, holley 750 double pumper, and new distributor as well.
for the transmission i put in a turbo 350 with a 3500 stall converter

i have a couple pics. they are not great tho. i also have a video of the first start of the engine but not sure how to upload it. could use some help.

I like it. Looks like you found a really nice project and you're making progress already. Welcome to the board from Texas.

Thanks for the reply. And glad to see some fellow Texas members on here. I'm from Texas myself, but I'm in the Air Force stationed in OKC. Yes, still close to home, but OK isn't where any Texan wants to stay.

Re: New Project 1984 GMC

A little update on the build.

Got the rear brakes and front brakes replaced, also bolted the tranny to the engine, got the new rear end put in (373 posi track). Bolted up the drive train and got the truck to move on its own for the first time!
( ) here is the video.

I can not get the link to work. sorry.. and here is the video of the first time starting the engine right after being installed.
( )

you will have to copy and paste the links. i still can't figure out how to get these damn links to work.
