Hi,love the site! I just Purchased a 72 burb that has a little "cancer". I am an ASE certified technician but no nothing of bodywork. I will be happy to trade advise if needed. Also looking for a good inexspensive supplier for body patch panels and things. Thanks in advance. Is there a key to abbreviations used here? What is TTT?

Welcome to the forum ! Im not into bodywork either lol so i cant help ya much on that, but I got a Q for you since youre SAE certified and probably wrench for a living maybe- do you happen to know if a 2.2L will go in place of a 2.0L in an '89 Sunbird ?
We're trying to find ways to save a really nice Sunbird thats about to blow up the 2.0L in it and I believe 2.2l are alot easier to find such as in the 90-92's, etc, and they seem to run forever, so,,

not off the top of my head, but I am concerned about all the sensor and the computer being the same. I think any engine will fit into any car with a big enough hammer! lol. if the harness fits the sensor then the only problem would be programming if you want I can check in to for you?

DaBurb- thats a big couple of patch panels, now !

hey Russ, yeah, I dont think there would be a whole lot different regarind electrical harness, but difference in the ECM probably could be fixed by swapping the old one out for a 2.2L one, im worried about engine mounts location and bellhousing bolt pattern, i figure if they used the 2.2L in the 90 models then they probably didnt change a whole lot in the car itself to put them in, i hope,.....

thanks
