Back from Alabama

Just walked in the door. Have done over 3000 miles this week.
I have picked up my mail and received money from everyone that I had deals with before i left. I told you all that I would be gone for a week and want to thank everyone of you for waiting on me. I will ship all items PRONTO.
Also going to Randys (teeitup) in the morning. Shannon, if you see this, call me. I am still willing to meet you with the parts.
Thanks all.

Sounds like you had a good trip down here in Dixie. I'm glad you made it home safe and sound.

Southern hospitality is alive and well.
I met more great people. Had a wonderful time.
My wife drove with me. Our son and grandson flew down last Friday. We drove all Thursday night to be in Chattanooga in time to meet their plane. Took a trailer load of four-wheelers. We went to Rock City for a day ride on Saturday and then went to a pig roast. Went back to Rock City for a night ride to a place overlooking Weiss Lake and the valley. Absolutely beautiful at night with the lights below and the stars above. Over 12 miles in the dark with a dozen wheelers. Pretty cool to see all the headlights bouncing through the hills.
Then on Sunday we rode at Pisgah. Very rocky and steep climbs. Down the mountain to the river and into the mud holes. Ate lunch on the banks of the Tennessee River. Again about a dozen riders.
Visited Scottsboro, Huntsville and many others.
Took lots of pictures. Ate lots of food. Got little sleep. Great vacation.

Holy Smokes!! I wish I knew you were gonna be in Huntsville ... we could have met for lunch. Huntsville is my "stomping grounds" ... I would have enjoyed hanging out and showing you around "the Rocket City." I hope all the good people of Alabama were friendly and accommodating to you and your family and that you enjoyed your visit..

Maybe next trip we can meet up!

I went to Scottsman Icemakers of Huntsville for some parts for an ice machine.
My friends there bought an old machine from the school. It was broken and I fixed it. After 10 bags of ice a day, it was nice to walk out to the garage and get all you want.Hard to have a cold one without ice.
Shane, this was my 4th trip to Al. this year. Still may move there. If I do I will look you up.
cdowns, sorry, it was a last minute trip. No parts in Scottsboro so short road trip.
There is a 67 shortbed for sale on 72 just outside of Huntsville. Looked OK. Aqua in color. 350, auto, disc brake, late model seat and new gauges. Not bad but needed some attention. Supposed to be one near Boaz also. Red. I did not find it.
