Question What's your ultimate 67-72?

This is your "copperhead"...

Is it restored stock? Shortbed/longbed...big block small block? How about a theme? Stock appearing sleeper?

I built mine about 5 years ago.

Short bed, 68 clip, 60's themed with the Cragars, 4.5 front 4 rear drop, discs, small block, tilt, 3.73 gears and a fully built 700r4

Oh, notice it has the rare European-only right hand drive windshield wipers. They are backwards from normal (kind of like me )

mine is a chevy 68 fleetside short bed, 2wd, steel floor w/ all the exterior trim (windows, grill, rear end and the lower molding) in a colbalt blue color

With a gray interior, 98 truck 60 / 40 seats, factory AM/FM radio, tach, tilt, cruise, speed warning, power windows

And power brakes, power steering, auto trans, V8 (BB or SB doesnt matter because I won't ever drive it hard enough to make a difference), aftermarket A/C, a 4" & 6" drop w/ and a nice set of chrome 18" wheels.

Shawn

If I am going to dream I am going to dream big

Well, mine sounds a lot like rick's! A '68 short fleet, metal bed floor, shaved side markers, front, rear, and side moulding, and painted the new mini cooper s electric blue. Lowered 4/6 or on bags, with 18 & 20 inch wheels. Gray interior, and a gray spray in bed liner. Small block with either a 4spd or a 6spd. 4 wheel discs would be nice too, but I won't push my luck!

Here's a little photoshop of something very similar:

I am doing my dream truck now. I have been dreaming of this truck for nearly twenty years. It a 2wd Jimmy with a metal top. It has a mild chop. I would say the roof is sectioned a bit but since this thing never existed before I suppose it isn't. It will run a big block, 700r4 and four wheel discs. I know it is pretty far out there for many on the board but hey.....it's my dream truck.

Of course, there's something about this truck that rubs me the right way!

Though, I think both of these trucks would lead to trouble, for me! LOL

Where did you find that pic Joe? You should see that thing going down the street, I think they might have lowered it a bit, it looked taller before.

I got a bunch of pictures of the green beast off this forum quite a while ago. When I saw it for the first time, for me it was "HOLY ****!"

My wife was laughing at me! LOL!

Mine would be the truck i drive now, completley restored with flawless paint, lowered about 2.5/5", really nice wheels, convert it over to a Cheyenne Super, add AC, thumping system, bucket seats, cruise control. For the drivetrain i would want something along the lines of a Ramjet 502 with a Paxton supercharger, a built TH400 w/gear vendors, 1-pc driveshaft, and a 9" ford rearend with 3.50 gears and a detroit locker. Would look pretty much stock, yet drive better than any new truck, and run everything off the road

Well I am planning my 70C10 build up. Hope to start in the new year. I plan to make it hold its own on the circuit track
540ci,6spd, 4.10 posi, 2x4 tube chassis, 27x14x16 tires front and rear, full cage and interior and max weight of 3800lbs. I will be moving the engine back for better weight bias. Strut type front suspension (maybe, havent made up my mind yet). Watts link rear suspension with a 3rd link and coil overs. Baer 12" rotors up front with GM D52 brakes in rear. Custom interior (or none if I cant get the weight down). easily removable cab/front end for work. Oh ya, heres the dream part, have all the body lines perfect (good luck huh?) I think I will start out making it legit for SCCA GT racing. Then as I get sick of having to jump over the rollcage to get in I will probably convert it back to a "street" truck and add all the cool little gadgets I want but are too heavy for a race truck. Swing out side bars are not exactly scca approved .
The hardest part is going to be the front suspension and steering. I have 75-76" of width that I have to fit 29" of tire plus another 10" of clearance for turning and still fit the front of a BB in there. Going to be tight.

my 72 all chopped up. of course i would do the body and put a rust free cab. make it a short/fleet. paint it baby blue and white. shave side markers, door handles, locks. shave the drip rails. put some 22" billet specialties hustler 5. put a 409 under the hood.six speed connected to a positraction rear end. billet grill. bagged. layin rocker. i dont even want to get into the interior. for my 70 i would make it lay rocker on billet specialties hustler 6. paint it red over black. another 409. positraction rear end. six speed tranny. all nos body parts. new perfect cab. short bed.
