Thanks guys, and thanks for the reference on headers. I have actuall seen some on eBay that would work. I bought the shortys I have from e-bay and they are made pretty well.

If any one is wondering, I went back to Summit tri-five headers...they really work well and anyone with a IFS and Small block should consider them....now I just need to get my wiring figured out.

OK. Finally got the thing to start. I appreciate all of those who gave me info. I was able to use the existing coil wire, twisted together the wires that connected to the resistor (removing the resistor) and then got the thing going.

OK, that is the good news. The bad news is that I had to put a fitting into the IFS (it's a rack and pinion from a Cougar), anyway, I striped the fitting area on the rack - so now I guess I need a new rack.....argh!

This is such a nice, clean build. It is one of my favorites. Sorry to find that you are going to be out the expense of another rack and pinion. Post a few pics of the finished truck.

I guess fine, but during the process of putting it all together I got brake fluid on it and it made some of it bubble and peel. The good thing about it is that Eastwood makes a satin chassis spray in a bottle that matches well enough. I have no plans to re-assemble and clean things up. I am about finished with this, just need ot lengthen the drive shaft, get different tires/wheels and fix one brake leaking issue, and I should be ready for a road tests....

ok,
After a while of dealing with issues, work, and other things I am finally to a point where I can get moving on my truck. I got the truck on the road, and I can tell you...the Scott's IFS is absolutely great....I have not had it aligned yet so there is a lot of positive (or is it negative) camber, so need to fix that....but the front end drivability is great....this thing drives better than my 2006 GMC.......I would and will recommend the Scott's IFS to anyone....see the pics...

You might want to check with Justin and see if your coil overs are not to long. I had the same problem with mine only in negative camber. When ever I tried to move washers around to change the angle of the tire, I would run out of threads on the heim joints. After checking the shipping invoice, it turns out the coils I had were nearly 2" to short. If your upper control arms are pointing down to much I bet your shocks are to long. Once I got the right length shocks my problems were solved. here's some pics check out the way my upper arms are pointing.

After taking a closer look at the last pic on post 31 those shocks look way to long it looks like the upper control arm is either level or pointing slightly down. you can move those washers around all you want, you'll never get those tires where you want them.

Hmmm...i appreciate the info, but I have not had the front end aligned and will do that when I return vacation next week... I will attempt to take a picture, but the upper and lower control arms are relatively level.... Did I mention it tracks well, even though not yet aligned...? ...also, are you saying the pics you show as and example an example are correct...?

The pics i posted are of the incorrect angle. once I got the longer coil overs the tires stood straight up.
Your problem is going to be when you start moving spacers around. If you take spacer out of the upper control arms to pull the top of the tire in your going to run out of threads on the heim before you can get the bolts back into the arms. Conversely, if you add washers to the bottom arm you will end up turning the heim out to far before you can get the bolts back in. Here's a pic after I got the proper coils. Notice the difference in the angle of the upper control arms from the first set of pics I posted. looking at the pics of your arms, the upper look like they are pointing downwards a little to much thus tucking the bottom of the tires in.
