Re: 86 stepside truck build frame up
why did you switch to carb instead of running the fuel injection? just not want to mess with the wiring?

Re: 86 stepside truck build frame up
I chose carbed over fi for the power grain from the swap and for the easier tuning and much easier to get parts when out in bfe broke down. The wiring wasn't really and issue if i had wanted to run it but any cam swaps or anything u gotta get your computer tuned and everything. I put a bigger cam, behive valve spring, hardened pushrods, and had the heads decked.010
figured i could save all the fi parts for my everyday driver if i needed them or sell them to someone |

Re: 86 stepside truck build frame up
process has been slow bought a house a few months ago. There has been some stuff done though i finally got the rest of the assecoris for the front of the engine. Ordered all of the fuel line fittings from summit last week. Also picked up some 12 wide micky thompson classic 2 wheels. not sure if i should run those or the 14 wide chrome wheels. Ill route the fuel lines and plub the colling system so i can test fire the engine.

Re: 86 stepside truck build frame up
This will be a sweet rig when it's done! Just saw the build for the first time. Is it going to be a purpose built dune blaster? Looks like 12 bolt / d44 combo? Can't want to see it finished.
