Valve Cover Gaskets
I just bought a set of Edelbrock aluminum valve covers, what is a good valve cover gasket for these covers?

I bought the rubber ones from jegs the last couple of times ive bought valve covers

I prefer either the cork ones, or just use some good RTV like permatex ultral black.

I personally like the rubber gaskets. Check your local auto parts store and see what they recommend (and have). I suggested local because you may have to replace them down the road and not have the luxury of waiting for someone to ship.
How come gaskets weren't purchased at the same time?

The new ones don't come with gaskets?
I bought the fel-pro rubber gaskets, supposedly they are re-useable. I like them. |

A part number for a valve cover gasket?
Just about all of the major chains carry Fel-Pro. If you pull a Magilla gorilla on the valve covers, it doesn't matter the part number, it's gonna leak.

Ok with all the variations, pick one. Your local auto parts store won't have 3000 anything. Here's a hint, you can eliminate the Honda VC gaskets. A phone call to your local store will get an answer.
I don't remember the OP's truck, so i punched in an 84 C-10, 350 on Advance's site,http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...=-1&catalogId= I count 5, 10-25 bucks. Yes it did take a while to look up, dial up by location, not choice. I'm not installing or paying for so why tell him what to buy? As a quick side of the road fix, I've used window caulking and had it last a week. If he goes to the local auto parts store, let the salesmen do their job, develop a relationship (not that kind of relationship).
