harmless truck pranks

I know a few funny ones like horn hooked to the brake lights, zip ties to the drive shaft, panties under the seat for the wife to find, grease the handles and pop cans on a string under the truck, any others out there?

No such thing as "harmless" pranks for my truck - you touch it, I harm you. Don't even get caught looking at it too hard....

You can set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill,
and I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe de Ville.

Re: harmless truck pranks

Wasn't truck but I did wire the horn on my freinds IROC Camaro to his brake switch and relayed his blinkers to the wiper spray. And his radio would turn on ( at full volume of coarse) when in reverse.

My friends truck. I hooked a horn up under his seat with a switch run to the passenger side. Haha makes people crap themselves every time.

Top gear thought me this. Put a can of beans inside the engine compartment. Like the headers. This is a messy and smelly prank. Haha or some nasty cheese in the door panels of your ex stepfathers

Take the horn off the car and run to the interior like above but hook it up normal to the horn button.

Take an extra 88-98 type steering wheel and cut the top and bottom off so it looks like a battmobile steering wheel and install it in your freinds Manual steering truck.

Garden shears+ 100* weather+ a/c belt = one hot black interior for your friend.

Pull of one spark plug just barely OR pull of vacuum advance.
Zip tie a ballon to the tailpipe.= boom haha
Glue quarters to the door locks
Turn mirrors to face forward ( dumbo mirrors)

Put a stick under the tailgate handle to hold it open so when they go over a bump the tailgate slams open with a loud thud

Reverse and opposite window switches.

Me and my friends pull very malicious pranks on each other.

This week I plan on jacking his rear axle up and rolling ducttape way inside of his tire and adding "tape paddles" so it makes a wacking noise as the tape slaps the concrete

Other wise taping a antanna to the axle tube and have it slap the inside of his spokes

Not as bad as my friend micheal jacking my truck up way high at night and throwing a garbage can underneath and setting it back down haha! I got him back with the seat horn

Re: harmless truck pranks

putting panties under a seat for someones wife to find is not harmless, that could lead to serious trouble. it puts a sense of doubt in women's head, even after a friend may come forward and say it was a prank, there may still be doubt. that would lead to a broken nose for anyone who tried that on me.

I agree, but.....

I used to work in a hobby shop, years ago. Well our club wanted to go to a RC race out of town in the middle of winter. There were about 8 of us, and the owner of the store offered up his old 81 Suburban "hunting truck". Cool!

So off we go, really not knowing if this beater truck was gonna make it, but that's a different story. We stop about an hour into the trip for a snack break. One of the guys comes out of the bathroom giggling. He had bought a "giant rainbow condom" out of the machine. Next thing you know it was hanging from the rearview mirror. That was no good in a truck full of guys so he put it above the drivers side visor. We figured my boss would be out with his hunting buddies, put the visor down, it would fall out, and he'd get a good razzing from all the guys.

So we get home, take the truck back, and forget it was there. I guess he didn't really drive the truck much, because the next time it moved was in the spring, when his wife took it to move some girlfriends stuff to a yard sale. Well, it was sunny, and she needed to put the visor down. I can't imagine the silence when a condom dropped down on her lap in front of a few of her girlfriends.

The boss came into the store that day, carrying the condom, and asked if we knew anything about it. Well, it's a good thing him and his wife had a good sense of humor, cause they laughed just as hard as we were!

Re: harmless truck pranks

I dont believe in any prank that would injure a person or do harm to their vehicle ,,but I gotta tell you that along with a friend we pulled one on another friend and this is what we done,,many years ago.

The friend we did the prank on owned a 53 Plymouth and my folks owned a 51 plymouth a few years earlier so I found a set of keys that belonged to my folks old car and when my friend was laying in the sun getting a sun tan we swapped keys on his key chain ..

We knew that we all three were going to town that afternoon so when the time came we piled into his car and he began trying to make the key work,,he tried and tried ,,cussed a few words at the ignition ,,then the keys then after about 2 or 3 minutes it hit him,,then we got the cuss words ,all in fun mind you ,,we all had a laugh and then the two of us that did the prank began the wait for our friend to repay the prank on us..

thats another story,, LOL

When I worked for NAPA Auto parts years ago, I rerouted the washer fluid hose up under the steering column aiming at the seat area. Our poor parts runner couldn't figure out why our accounts were giving him a wierd look when he'd deliver parts....until he finally felt the dampness soak completely thru his jeans!

Re: harmless truck pranks

another one that i have seen done is jacking up a vehicle and setting it up on blocks so that the tires just barely don't touch the ground. confuses the crap out of the owner when they get in and try to leave.

Re: harmless truck pranks

10 years back when one of them preachers(swaggart or stewart)
was coming into town ,churches were passing out beige/brown bumper stickers
grabbed a bunch, went by a couple of buddies places and stuck them on the bumpers of the work trucks....
did this a few times, apparenty one thought the other was doing it,and started watching
seems a neighbour saw me do it,then walk to the in the door to visit
he comes across laughing.....explaining Rob told him it was Gary, and he was throwing thumb tacs on Garys seat when he walked by the truck.....
(these are two guys I've known most of my life)
well after some time I owned up and we had a good laugh

aside from that really, cars when my sisters got married
couple of bags of confetti down the AC vents/luggage
rope tied door handles

Re: harmless truck pranks

Working at a gas station years ago, we aimed the windshield washer hose down the throat of the carb and filled the resevoir with diesel on my buddies toilet-odor (toyota). Thing made a smoke screen like you read about... He actually thought it was fun and left it....

Back in highschool, a bunch of us had VW bugs and would all park on the street lined up. Well one day during auto shop a bunch of us picked one of the guy's car up and moved it to the sidewalk, then moved all the cars up so as to take up the slack. He was a bit pissed when he came out of class!

A friend of mine would always goad the driver into stoplight drags from his position in the passenger seat. "You can beat this guy! Don't be a chicken!" type of stuff. The driver would rev up and just before the light turned green my friend would reach over and slip the gear selector into N, unbeknownst to the driver. Much cussing and fisticuffs ensued.

Don't ask how I know this.

Re: harmless truck pranks

Hook a speaker wire to the sparkplug and run it in to the drivers seat will give a little tingle when vehicle is started.

Hook horn to brake lights.

Re: harmless truck pranks

In college I worked maintenance. We used a lot of electric golf cart to get around campus. So I would jump in the passenger seat, and mash the pedal to the floor. Drive/victim would jump in, snap the switch to reverse, and turn on the power key. The cart goes into instant full speed reverse. The driver/victim has lag time, and the wind shield does not. Bang! Much laughter from everyone watching. You want to guess how I learned that trick?

Re: harmless truck pranks

When I was 14 y/o I was a dish washer at a diner. My older brother and best friend worked there as well. A little horse play by squeezing cherry tomatoes on each other escalated into the parking lot. It continued with a potato stuffed into the tail pipe of a Chevette and ended with 55 gallons of used fryer oil dumped into my brothers Datsun 710. The oil ran clear down the parking lot until it settled in front of a department store. I sure enjoyed watching the boys scrubbing up the mess!
