Just out of curiosity... what brakes are you going to run?
With the dirver side off set of the IL6 and the 4bbl on there, it does not leave much room for a Master Cylinder for power brakes.
At that point, if you have not already considered it, hydro-boost may be a better option for you.

Just thinking ahead .... which is funny I would do it on your build, but neglect it on mine .....

I had a set of discs off a 72 C10 laying around. When I say laying around I mean about 5 years,.. we didn't use the spindles, Dino ordered some drop spindles, It was cheaper to just order new rotors and callipers, $40 for new rotors and $22 for callipers. new ball joints, bushings, tierods. the usual. I just talked to Dino yesterday and my power booster came in. Its the mini size Dino used on his pro-street truck...Plenty of room..

Re: dbombs53 short box

Gotcha!
A mini booster never even crossed my mind, but that makes sense.
I was asking because a friend has a stock 72, and with the master cylinder there isnt enough room for the traditionally mounted air cleaner and that is just on top of a 2bbl carb.

Nice build man, thanks for the pic too!

Re: dbombs53 short box

A few more pictures, I took 5" out of the headers. I had to shave a portion out of the bottom of the intake to clear the first and second header pipe. Motor is sitting up 1.5" to clear the steering linkage. So far so good!

Yes, it's looking great! The COE looks like a great start also, Yes you do have a sickness. And you are wright, if you want to get them done, and stay alive. DON'T sell the COE to Dino, Liz WILL Kill you both for sure!
