Stepside tie downs
I am going to need to have tie downs strong enough to cinch a bike down or to just put a tarp over a load of brush going to the dumps. Putting eyelets in the bed stake holes would be the eaiest but doesn't look very nice. Anybody have pictures of what they use for tie downs?

Mine are mounted on the tops of the bed rails.

On my old truck I used the tie downs off of a f150. they're held in with two t30 torx screws and easy to find. I used a piece of flat steel to back them up and used to tie down my bike all the time. No pics but I'm gonna do the same with my 64

I use the removable stake pocket eyelets from Tractor Supply, or elswhere. They work for what I need, dump runs and such. Not sure about a bike but you unscrew them and put them under the seat and it looks clean.

I had the removable rubber block tie downs for a while, but hated the look:
 Eventually I added Perrycraft Bullet Mini Tube bed rails. They are completely stainless steel and very strong:  http://www.customautotrim.com/truck-...ini/Universal/ For cargo inside the bed I replaced every other fender mounting bolt with an eye bolt of the same size and thread, making it easy to tether anything, including grocery bags. When I’m hauling yard waste these are the where I connect the straps. Stepside or Fleetside they used the same rails. These also originally came on El Camino's late 50's.
