White Wall Paint?

Has anyone ever used white wall paint to create your own white walls? I don't want to buy white wall tires this year because Im getting new rims and tires next year. For now I wanted to mess around with creating my own white wall rat rod look, if anyone knows of some paint thay've used or if you have pics of your own painted walls then please sent them my way!!

Thanks to all that look!

Re: White Wall Paint?

I would go with Portawalls. You could probably sell them when you get your new wheels.

Re: White Wall Paint?

I read on a motorcycle fourm that you can use Plasti-dip aerosol white< you need to scuff the area you want to paint with sand paper tape off and spray away. HIS results came out well . Give it a try and let us know
There is /was aguy on ebay who was selling "white-wall" paint too

Here is a Forum you may have seen, he said he would put them up against any "real" white wall.... kinda cool

Re: White Wall Paint?

I used duplicolor plastic rubber spray paint a couple times worked great on a set of bias plys, turned out like dog doo-doo on a set of radials.......on my latest truck I wanted the whitewall look with out paying wide whitewall prices and had some white letter tires shaved way better then painting your tires and pretty cheap too not as cheap as paint but still cheaper then real www's..

heres a google search with every possible answer to that question:

Re: White Wall Paint?

There are some good videos of grinding your own whitewalls with a flapper disk. I tried it on an old spare and came out pretty nice.

Re: White Wall Paint?

x2 if you have white letter tires try the sanding/grinding method. The results are decent.

Painting whitewalls is ghetto, and probably won't look good as soon as your 100ft down the road.

Re: White Wall Paint?

here are my white wall painted tires that i just finished a couple weeks ago. I just tried it out as a temporary solution while I save up for the real ones. I grinded out the front 205/70R15s then painted and just cleaned and painted the rear 275/R15s with some tire paint that I got from ebay. The front tires look really nice still, but the rear turned brown after a couple of days. I'm gonna try and grind the rears and paint 'em like the front ones and see what happens. At least 'til I buy the real set.

I'll try and post a clear shot of how the brown looks in the morning.

Re: White Wall Paint?

my grinded down whitewalls but honestly if you gonna grind them take it slow cause if you rush your tires will only look good from a couple feet away but when you stand rite in front they look kinda crappy
