1968 front fender molding and inner fender question

My truck is at the body shop getting put back together after being painted and I just had a scary thought. My concern is the front fender trim is on the truck stock 1967/1968 trim) and as I recall it screws at 12 o'clock to the inside lip of the fender. The front inner fenders are not installed. So my question is am I going to have issues installing the inner fenders? Does it matter which is installed first (inner fender or body molding ). Please let me know

Re: 1968 front fender molding and inner fender question

I'd do the molding/trim first. The chrome on the front of the fender that goes from the bottom to top and curves meets the trim on the hood? It's looks very hard/impossible to get to those nuts with the inner fender well on.

If I'm understanding correctly.

Or the ones that go on the side of the fender, that continues to the doors?

Re: 1968 front fender molding and inner fender question

make sure you have the door trim on first! then put the trim on the fenders and the fenders on the cab.... it is impossible to put the little speed nut to the clip closest to the fenders with the fenders on!
