Inferno 64 Father and Son Build
Well I have been on this site for many years. At one time I use to be on here all the time, then my truck got parked had to raise kids and a family and work to get my current job. I never had time to work on the truck. So it sat, first out side in the back yard covered, then we moved to newer house and was able to park it inside the garage.
Fast forward to now. My son (now 15 yrs old) said "dad lets rebuild your truck and get it running so I can drive it for school." I really like the idea of getting it running again, but not the idea of him driving it to school. This was my first truck. I bought it from my uncle when I was 16 yrs old. He was the second owner to own it. He used it as a painters truck. I got it and wanted to be low rider. So I paid some "crappy" shop to chop it all up (what a mistake) I also rebuild the original 230 inline 6 and chromed it out. We talked about it and we want to keep the 230 Inline 6, accuair air ride, magnet grey (toyota color) paint, 22" wheels and tires all around, simple leather bench seat and painted interior. So here we go..........................[IMG]

We wanted to strip down the 3 layers of paint and put a light coat of primer on it.

Re: Inferno 64 Father and Son Build
and back !!
I had to smile in your opening post about how gung-ho you and your son are to rebuild this rig, and where you diverge on the idea of who gets to drive it to school If worse comes to worse, since you got this yourself when you were 16, it could be the most awesome practice and motivator for him to get one of his own, then the two of you restore it together too.... These days will build the memories the both of you will remeber till the end of your days. I would not miss this chance for the world if I could! Looks great so far, keep us posted and GOOD LUCK !!!

Re: Inferno 64 Father and Son Build
I got my first W-4 job when I was 14 on a youth employment program where I grew up. If he stars now, he could have a project truck of his own by the time he is 16.... just like dad !
Good looking kid, I bet you are proud!
