1967 cst questions
Ok, I just purchased a 67 cst swb with factory big back window, truck is red with fawn interior and buddy buckets....no pics as I haven't got it home yet and may be a couple of weeks before I get back down there unless I can find somebody to help me move it in the mean time.....my questions are
1. Did they all come with buddy buckets as this truck has them but its not on the spid but panoramic window is??? 2. It is a 327 w/ 3spd on column, would have figured a cst would have been automatic? also how hard to change over and will it hurt value 3. How rare is this truck I think I once read only 194 built like it? 4. Has warning gauges not full gauges, is that normal for cst? I know that the 67 cst's were optioned a little different than 68's and some thing were standard that weren't on the 68 cst's...I guess I need a 67 cst education...also the door emblems that say cst are painted different than the 68...mine are ruff anybody have any pics of that and the above questions would be appreciated...oh yeah I know its worthless without pics...lol |

Re: 1967 cst questions
1. All CSTs came with buckets,so it's part of that option and not listed.
2. Automatic was an option on everything it was available in 3. Not sure on exact numbers, but you have a fine example. The colors sound fairly unique, yet most would love them. The 327 was the top engine. Many didn't like automatics in trucks back then. I've had three shortbed big blocks with 3spd. Drag racing mostly used manual 4spd back then, too. Autos were just working their way into performance. 4. Not sure on gauges. I would have thought they'd be in the CST pkg,but maybe not yet. I'd have to see literature to know.

Re: 1967 cst questions
1) CST had buddy buckets standard.
2) This isn't a Camaro, changing from 3-on-the-tree to auto won't hurt the value to 98% of the people looking at buying it. 3) 194 what? CST's? Way more than that. CST that is red with fawn interior, short box, 3OTT, etc, maybe. It's a neat truck, especially being a short box. 4) Certainly could have come with lights instead of guages if that's how it was ordered. If I was looking to buy your 67 from you, whether or not you add some options wouldn't bother me at all. If it had guages, and the SPID didn't mention them, I wouldn't care. What I would care about was if it was an original 67 CST short box. After that it's all pretty easy to change.

Re: 1967 cst questions

Re: 1967 cst questions
67 CST's do have different paint scheme for there badges, 68 features black yellow and chrome. 67 features chrome, red, blue and black. the most inner part of the "CST" letters should be black and the first little square on the left should be red and the little square closest to the CST letters should be blue. the back ground ( textured background around CST letters) should be a chromish silver and not painted black like the 68 CST emblems. your trucks completely normal but it does have VERY nice options.

Re: 1967 cst questions
Nice truck but... my info shows CE10 could not get both a 327 and a four speed. One or the other.

Re: 1967 cst questions
I wonder if that's a repaint in the original color (522-Light Yellow) or what color it originally was. Prolly blue on blue ( 506-Light Blue Poly or 507-Light Blue). Cool CST!

Re: 1967 cst questions
Good catch, people do read my posts. In error I didn't cross check like I should have. The engine options listed the prohibition but the trans. options break it down further. No L30-M10 or L30-M20, but you could get the close ratio 4-speed L30-M28. Bet that drives nice! Sorry if this gave anyone else an "I gotta check my SPID moment".

Re: 1967 cst questions
Congrats on your new truck!
Here's a link to my '67 CST's webpage on Car Domain. It's a fairly original truck and it's a swb, 327, 3-speed, panoramic window, fawn interior as well. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/387615...t-c-k-pick-up/ Wayne
