Hey thanx,I am about to(within the next 2 weeks) pull the gutless, gas sucking 400SBC out and put in a fresh 383 . I wish it still looked like that, the pic is about 2 years old and the rust has gotten alot worse. It will have fresh paint this spring also.

My dad has a 383 in his 73 GMC 1 ton 2WD. Awesome motor. Great for pulling(the way he had it built) We have had no problems getting it to pull 6000 pounds up a hill with no effort. Good choice on the motor. Make sure you get a heavy set of weight's and springs for the dist. these motors don't like alot of timing.
I love the way your truck looks I am having a really hard time finding one in decent shape up here. They are all over priced pieces of crap. Later Mario

I can't seem to find a truck in good shape. I think that I am going to buy a beater car for the winter. then sell it in the spring and come cown south in the spring and take a nice southern one from ya.
Andrew I don't have a driver at the moment I think that by the end of the month I should. Later Mario
