Whats the safest way to remove number's from a NEW cluster lense? Gonna do the white face overlay but need to remove the green number's and lines on the lense without harming the NEW lense!!
Thanks for any help!

Re: safe way to remove number's
Good question and I'm sure someone has a way that's worked well for them. Simichrome polish comes to my mind because, believe it or not, that's what I was told a long time ago works best for cleaning the Lexan windshields Harleys run. You can't use Windex cuz it will cloud it and although simichrome is for polishing metal, and obviously an abrasive,it is so fine it doesn't leave scratches. So,I'd think they'd polish/buff off (mechanically) with the right compound.

I think one of the headlight restoration kits would do well. They are designed for cleaning/smoothing plastic lens.

if you still have the old glass see if/what works on it first.i also agree that the head light kit should do the trick

Re: safe way to remove number's
meguiar's plastx does the trick and won't harm the lens. Use a soft clean cloth of course and it takes a little rubbing on a new lens but they will come off (they're printed on the inside of course )

Re: safe way to remove number's
don't mean to hijack, but will this also work for the automatic shift indicator lens as well?
