power window replacement parts

the drive gear on my window motor must have some stripped teeth it has two spots where it stops and slips. is this part replaceable? is it reproduced?

its usually the gear on the regulator that strips.you can get a new or remanufactured motor from most of the national auto parts stores.not really hard to replace but a bit dangerous .if you do it yourself use a good pair of vise grips to keep the spring and arm of the regulator from slicing off your digits ......or worse.that is something that a professional should do.you have to take the regulator out of the door to work on it .like i said its not very difficult. you should replace the rivits with rivits not nuts n bolts .good luck and be very carefull. i have heard of a couple glass guys that are missing a digit or 2.

I didnt feel any stripped teeth on the regulator. I was hoping that was i,t and that a manual gear would work . i have some of those

Just changed the motor out a few weeks ago. It had seized up. This site was VERY useful...
