Re: How's it looking so far???

What's the expected ride height, I think that setup would be perfect for my truck.

Re: How's it looking so far???

BlackSheep, you are from Lebanon??? I am from there, or a little west, over by Bolivar. Took my boy's there last summer to the local dirt track there in Lebanon, had a blast there. We race dirt cars out here and they are wanting to take a few weeks next year and travel around and race some of them lil tracks back there. Great stuff. Went to Wheatland when we were there also, WOW is all we could say!!

Small world, I love it here in mid mo. There are defiantly a bunch of dirt tracks around here along with quite a few asphalt tracks. My buddy races b mods and I go over to wheatland and watch him quite a bit. It defiantly deserves it's name as the "diamond of dirt tracks".

Re: How's it looking so far???

So I had my first setback right off the bat. The chassis arrived and I took it to my body shop guy who is doing most of the build. I had ordered all body mounts in May, because I knew that was one of the first things we would need. He wants to mount the body to make sure all lines are straight. Well, he calls and says the holes on the chassis and core support are 1 1/2" and all the rubber grommets that I ordered from LMC back in May are 2" and they won't fit. So, I call LMC and they tell me they are going to measure their stock ones in their warehouse and call me back with a measurement, Could take up to 2 days for the call back........I am learning that maybe LMC is not the place for parts. They have no tech support, talking to some lady who his typing out my issue that I am telling her. Isn't all the mounting hardware the same for all these trucks from 68-72???? Stay Tuned...

Re: How's it looking so far???

So, LMC did send us the wrong cab and core mounts, said they would give us a call when they "looked into it". Now, we just opened up the box to the new, very expensive billet grill and componenets to the replacement grill and it is all dented up.........learned a lesson, no more anything from LMC for this rebuild. Gotta be a better source out there. BTY, Brothers did, and was very informative in getting us the new mounts and the correct ones.

Re: How's it looking so far???

Yes Sir, it is from Porterbuilt. I think, I'm not sure, check with Nate, might be the first 4 link he has dabbled with on one of these?? I might be wrong. But, he did a amazing job!! The only thing left of the old chassis is the frame rails themselves.
