67 saved from the salvage.
hi every one. was turned on to this sight from a hot rod forum I am on .lurked around for a couple days .looks like this is the place to be for owners and builders of old chevy trucks .I have been looking for some thing to build a daily driver out of .some one brought this67' into my sons salvage .the price was right so I brought it home .this truck is in great shape .I have found hardly any rust. it looks like this truck was running.intake carb and dis. removed. no tires and wheels.looks like I should be able to get it going fairly cheap. I've owned several of these trucks in the past and have a lot of the little parts it needs stored away. I will start a build thread soon. first I have to finish my wifes 39 chevy sedan. probably just get it running and drive the wheels off it.

Re: 67 saved from the salvage.
Wow, that looks better than either of my trucks! I'm glad you could save it, seems the way scrap prices have been the last year or so people just scrap anything!

Re: 67 saved from the salvage.
Anyone catch the first gen blazer/jimmy in the first pic? far off in the distance go back and look. Oh by the way really nice score on the truck, about all I see it needs is a fender patch on the lf fender to match it to the other 67's and a lr wheel hump on the inside of the bed. really sharp truck

Re: 67 saved from the salvage.
That's super nice, how did that end up in a junkyard? Also if I owned a junkyard I would probably be out of business in less than month..

Re: 67 saved from the salvage.
With a truck like that brought into salvage without wheels or those engine parts, I would call the local police and make sure it wasn't stolen. That is of course if it didn't come with a title.

Re: 67 saved from the salvage.
If thats the case my yard would be packed with projects. Its allready a parking lot with seven drivers an one project.
I suppose it didnt get a salvage title yet, that makes it a pain in the arse around here
